FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Hall Elementary School Principal Named

The Gresham-Barlow School District has selected Heidi Lasher to be the next principal of Hall Elementary School. Lasher replaces Todd Graves, who has been named the principal of South Ridge Elementary School in Ridgefield, Washington, where he and his family call home.

Lasher currently works as a special education instructional facilitator for the Gresham-Barlow School District. In that role, she trains and coaches special education teachers and leads district-level professional development. Ms. Lasher was instrumental in the district’s initial implementation of the Response to Intervention (RtI) program. She has trained teachers and educational assistants in reading intervention and progress monitoring. Over the last year she has worked with the principal and staff at Hall Elementary School on school improvement. Prior to becoming an instructional facilitator, she taught school in the Gresham-Barlow School District for 13 years.

“Ms. Lasher brings to Hall Elementary her experience and commitment to working tirelessly to see every student succeed,” said Superintendent Jim Schlacher. “She is uniquely qualified to continue the excellent improvement efforts currently in place at Hall Elementary School.”

Lasher earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Oregon State University. She holds a master’s degree in special education from Portland State University. She will earn her administrative license from Concordia University in June of 2015.
