Gresham-Barlow School District announces administrative changes for 2013-14
 
The Gresham-Barlow School District has selected Tracy Klinger to be principal of North Gresham Elementary School. Klinger replaces Tom Klansnic, whose contract expires at the end of the school year.
 
Klinger has served as principal of East Gresham Elementary School for four years. Before that she was principal of West Gresham Elementary School.
 
Prior to joining the administrative ranks, she taught second, third, and fifth grade. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s in teaching from Willamette University. She earned her administrator’s license from the University of Portland.
 
The school district has selected Henry Ramirez to be principal of East Gresham Elementary School. Ramirez currently serves as principal of Arata Creek School. The school, operated by the Multnomah Education Service District (MESD), serves students in grades K-12. Arata Creek’s mission is to support all students in acquiring the social, behavioral and academic skills necessary for student success.
 
Prior to joining the MESD, he was the assistant program director of the Northwest Regional Education Service District’s special student services department. He also has experience as a behavior consultant and mental health therapist.
 
Ramirez has a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science and social work and a master’s in social work. He earned his school administrator’s license from Concordia University.
