Weston KIA donates $25,000 to Gresham-Barlow Schools

Funds will be used to help more students succeed in school

March 3, 2017

Weston KIA has donated $25,000 to the Gresham-Barlow School District. The check was presented to Superintendent Jim Schlachter by Jan Weston at a special ceremony at the Gresham-Barlow School District Office.

“We are so thankful for Weston KIA’s support of our students and our schools,” said Superintendent Jim Schlachter. “This donation will allow us to help more students be successful academically.”

“We are happy and grateful to be able to support our schools,” said Weston KIA Internal Auditor Dave Hoopes.

The funds will be used to provide additional resources for the district’s early kindergarten transition program and to bolster the district’s credit recovery program for high school students.

Weston KIA-Buick-GMC has served greater East County for over 42 years.

The Gresham-Barlow School Board will honor Weston KIA at the March 9 school board meeting.
